What will the weather be like in Nottingham over the August bank holiday weekend?
Barbecues at the ready because it looks like the sun is coming out to play (for a bit)
This summer has been a bit of a wash-out to say the least so will that unlucky streak continue through to what is the last bank holiday before Christmas?
Well, yes and no.
According to the Met Office, the sun is still going to be as elusive as it has been for much of August over the bank holiday weekend but there is less than a 10 percent chance of rain.
Hurrah for swings and roundabouts!
Friday (August 25) will see around three hours of sunshine from 10am before cloudy skies take over for the rest of the day. Temperatures will reach highs of 21C at around 4pm.
There will be sunny intervals throughout the day on Saturday (August 26) where again the day will reach highs of 21C late afternoon.
Sunday (August 27) will be slightly cooler with highs of 20C, again from around 4pm, and only a ten percent chance of rain.
It’s more of the same on Monday (August 28) with more cloudy skies, sunny intervals and temperatures hovering around the 20C mark.
